Hello all you out there. It's Cathy here with a fun card today.
This card I made using items I haven't used for ages( really years) Shhhh don't tell..... First off I stamped Goth Mask on Copic friendly paper. Colored with Copic markers. Layered it on black cardstock. Here is the stuff I haven't used in ages. Versamark and embossing power. I haven't heat embossed in years. I took out my Corner Swirl and stamped it with versamark and used the white embossing power on it. Next I used the versamark as a watermark ink. That is what the darker ones are that you see.
So I say grab something you haven't used in ages and have a go with it again. Thanks for stopping by.

New Collar
Hi it's Cathy here and I have a fast and fun card make.
First I started with a Kraft color cardstock and I embossed it with a embossing folder. I had one with crazy lines over it. It reminded me of how a cat would chase a toy.
Next I stamped the Happy Cat on Copic friendly paper and colored her in cool grays.
( I had a cat the same color when I was a kid)
Then I fussy cut her out. As I was looking at her and seeing that smile on her I thought she needed a collar. So I made her a collar.
This is how I made the collar. Took some velvet ribbon and ran a strip of tape down the back side and the I folded it over. Next I added a bright shinny gold bell. Glued the collar on the cat and the stuck foam squares to rise the cat up. Then I saw I had a fish bone die and added that to the card
Last I edged the card with some brown ink.
Told you it was fast and fun.

Be Happy
Hi there, Cathy here to show you how I made my Be Happy postcard. I really had fun doing this postcard and I hope you give it a try. Here is most of the supplies I used to make this.
First I added molding paste thought a stencil onto my postcard. Then I let dry. Clean your stencil right away because you do not want to get the paste stuck on there. Then the stencil becomes useless.
Next I put some Nuance powers onto my craft mat and sprayed them with water and made them into watercolor Heat dried this
Next I stamped the Corner swirl with green ink and Grunge diamond background with blue ink. I stamped them in their same watercolor colors.
Close up.
Next I used a image from the coloring book. I had already had cut up the page before so I cut out the flower and colored it with Copic markers. Edge it with black so you don't see the white edges. Then I cut it in half to put on the edge of the post card.
(this is the other half)

I hope this gets your creative juices flowing and try something like it. Thanks for looking. Wednesday, May 31, 2017
Googly Eyes Kitty
Hello there in blog land. It's Cathy here and a how to on my Googly eyes kitty tag. First I started out with Distress tags(size #8). Really any tags will work for this.
Next I used the Distress Oxide inks on my craft mat and did the smooching technique. Ink, spray with water to activate the Oxide, smooch, dry and repeat. Do that on you tag till you are happy.
Next stamp Happy Cat on Copic friendly paper. Color with markers. Then I cut out. Edged with black marker so you don't see cut lines(white around the edges). The white circles are from a stencil and some white paint.
At the time I didn't know where I was going to do then I saw the googly eyes and the
flamingo drink stirrers and it made me think of the new saying over at Carmen's Veranda about the squirrel in traffic that I have and it came all together after that.
As you can see I didn't use the saying in the way is made. I stamped it out and cut it up to use what I wanted. Outlined the words with fine tipped marker.

Hi all Cathy here with my Crayon Smell card.
Don't we all love the smell of a box of new crayons. I know I sure do. That is what I first though of when I made this card.
So this stamp is from Carmen's Veranda new stamps. I stamped it on Copic friendly paper. Then I colored it with Copic markers. Next I added Glossy Accents to the tops of the crayons. When that was drying I started on the background of the card. I wanted a vintage look so I went though my paper stash and found the one I liked. So then I started on that background. Guess what I used to make it? Bubble wrap and a cap from a old marker. Also paint. I had bubble wrap sitting on my table and I said lets use it for the background. I used the white paint for that one. The cap I used black paint for it. Yes that is it.
Next I cut out the crayon stamp. Edged it in black marker so you don't see the white paper from me cutting it out. Taped that on front of my card, then I printed the saying from the computer. Layered that in black cardstock. That is my card

The Promise - a Valentine's Day card
Happy Monday Lost Coasters!
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and our February Challenge, #33, over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is dedicated to "Lovers"! Here's my LCDesigner challenge project to inspire you to come and join the fun!
Some find making Valentine's Day cards suitable for the guys a challenge so I stayed away from the traditional lovey dovey red and white in favour of a more masculine palette and used black, white and grey decorative papers for this project which features Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" by Carmen's Veranda.
I started out by stamping Carmen's Veranda Klimt Kiss and the text from Lost Coast Designs Misc. Words set onto mixed media cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I then coloured the image with Copic markers and added metallic touches to the fabrics and the vines with gold, silver and copper gel pens and metallic green Promarker. I used Black Soot and Walnut Distress Crayons to create the watercoloured background and then die cut out the image and the matching black mat with Spellbinders mega rectangle Deckled dies. I cut text boxers using scissors and the "is" and "a" were cut from other words in the Misc Words set as well. Before adhering the stamped image and text to their black mats I applied metallic silver rub-on creme to all the edges and then used scissors to cut the matching deckle edges on the text mats. I then cut and assembled all the DCWV decorative paper panels and adhered everything to the folded card I made from black cardstock with Scotch Quick Dry adhesive and pop dots. I completed my card with self-adhesive black diamonds in 2 sizes.
I used the following supplies on this one:
Carmen's Veranda Klimt Kiss
Lost Coast Designs Misc. Words set
Mixed media cardstock
Black cardstock for the mats and folded card
Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Copics
Metallic gold, silver and copper gel pens
Metallic Green Promarker
Black Soot and Walnut Distress Crayons
Spellbinders mega Deckled rectangle dies
Silver rub-on creme
DCWV decorative papers
Self adhesive black diamonds
Pop dots and Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
Thanks for stopping by to see my project today!

Manga Blue
Hello Lost Coasters!
Leigh here to share a project I made for our current monthly challenge over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity, our dedicated event and challenge blog!
The theme this month is Single Layer. The challenge ends on Sept 25 so there's still time to get in your entries! I hope you'll join us!
I used the following 2 of our newest stamps to make my Single Layer card
I started out by stamping this lovely new lady to our Lost Coast Designs Manga collection with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Neenah solar white cardstock and coloured her with Copic markers and added metallic silver detailing with a gel pen. I love working with the blue/purple colour combo and miss Manga Goth Dots is looking super sassy in those shades! I used a torn piece of scrap paper to mask her area off and stamped the background swirl design, which is also new to our Carmen's Veranda line and has a nice grungy feel to it, with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. I then used a water colour pen to blur and bleed the design a bit as well as adding more ink with an ink applicator sponge and also worked in some Tea Dye Distress Ink too. I removed the mask and coloured the exposed background with a brown Derwent Pastel pencil that was blended with a Dove Blender pen and then I added a touch of Peacock Feathers Distress Ink too. Boy was it hard not to add some kind of embellie to this project coz it was for our Single Layer challenge after all so I blinged it up a bit while adding the illusion of layers by adding Crystal Stickles glitter glue lines over the 2 masked edges and a touch of sparkle to the roses on her Alice band.
I hope I've inspired you to try your hand at creating a single layer project and look forward to seeing your projects in our challenges!

Freaky
Hello everyone,
Corrie here and today I have an art journal to share with you.
Corrie here and today I have an art journal to share with you.
I used Model Paste, gesso and Pan Pastels for the background which was then randomly stamped. The word 'freaky' was done with a stencil which was given to me as a present ! (Thanks, you know who you are ! I love it) The clown was stamped on white paper, coloured with Copic Markers, cut out and adhered to the page on top of a few bits of washi tape. The same washi tape was also used in the top left corner.

I used model paste and a stencil on a white postcard. When it was dry I sprayed it with Lindys Stamp Gang Flat Fabios in pink and orange. I also went around the edge with black ink, then thought it was to dark en rubbed it with white chalk ink. I then sprinkled silver embossing powder on that and heat embossed it. I randomly stamped the background and then stamped the lady and the butterflies and coloured them with Copic Markers, cut them out and went around the cut edge with a black marker. This was it looks like your cutting was perfect. I adhered everything to the card and that was that.
I used the following stamps:

Goddess of the stars
Hi everyone! It's my second post here and I am excited to share with you what I made for this month's challenge, ATC's!

For this ATC I used the stamp 'profile with stars'.
It is one of my favorites of the Art Nouveau range at LCD. It was a
pretty challenging one to make and when I started I did not know it
would turn out like this. Am very pleased with the end result though!
This is how I made it:
The background is made with distress stains aqua lagoon and spun sugar on a light green paper base. I stamped the circle of the stamp with versamark on the background and embossed with stampin' up stardust embossing powder to give it that starry night effect. Another back ground made with distress stains wild honey, fired brick and vintage photo on green paper. Stamped 'profile with stars' on it with Staz-on rustic brown. Used a versa-marker on some elements I wanted to emboss with Top Boss Honey Gold. Then accentuated with a copic too tone marker in brown. The inner circle I removed with a tiny 3D Card scissors. To finish it off I added a bit of black soot rub on pearl at the edges of the ATC.
