Magic Bubbles - Domino Pendant

Hello Everyone,
Leigh here to share the altered domino pendant I made for the current Lost Coast Portal to Creativity challenge - #15 Circles.

I stamped the bubbles with black StazOn ink and coloured them with a combination of Bic pigment markers and tiny dashes of Alcohol Ink blending solution and the smaller bubbles are coloured with metallic Promarkers. I applied Viva Pearl Magic Transparent White to every single dot for that fabulous dimensional sparkle! I coloured the edges and sides of the domino with a metallic DecoColor Liquid Gold paint pen and adhered a pendant bail to the back with E6000 glue and hung the domino on a turquoise cord necklace.

In case you missed the news, we have lifted our LCD/CV stamp restriction for all our challenges and events. You are now welcome to use any stamps by any company BUT if you do just use ours your entry will count as 2 during our DT Favourtes voting so come and join us over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and Stay to Play!
See you there :0)

Seahorses & Wonderland altered Game Art!

Hello Friends!
Leigh here and it's my turn to bring you some DT inspiration
and I've got lots to share! First up, in case you missed seeing our fabulous news, we have a new Event and Challenge blog called Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where the stamps of Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun! Pop on over and check us out, become a follower and
STAY TO PLAY :0)

For the launch I created this altered Game Art Trinket Box featuring Lost Coast Designs Manga Goth with Top Hat stamp that looks just like my Ever After High Madelaine Hatter doll! I'm mad for all things Alice in Wonderland themed so that doll and that stamp were a MUST for me! The "cupcake" lid handle is one of the cute little goodies that came with the doll. Stop by my BLOG for more info on this project.

My 2nd share for today are the 2 ATCs I made for our May Challenge! I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind you that our challenges will now be hosted over on our new blog too starting with the June challenge on June 1st!

I used the same two stamps on these ATCs but used the Bubbles stamp differently to achieve different effects. I used Lost Coast Designs Seahorse and large Bubbles background stamps on these. For more info you can see my post on my blog HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you all playing with us over at
Lost Coast Portal to Creativity!

Happy Stamping!

I sealed all the pieces with a couple of coats of Krylon Artist's Workable Fixative spray and then applied Judikins Diamond Glaze to all the surfaces leaving the black eye and nose sockets to create wicked dimension.

I used pre-drilled dominoes for the earrings from Tall Mouse and attached the skull charms and earring findings with wire. The Rummy tile is too thin to drill through so I glued the wire to the back of the piece with E6000 glue. The pendant is hung on a really cool rubbery black cord with a built in closure!

See you again for Day 2's project by DominoARTist Val S on May 3rd!

Domino Hugs!

<img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54489/254/9AFD466AE40CCD33680157083652C26C.png" style="background: transparent; Skellie Jigsaw Card by Leigh S-B for DominoART's 15 Days of Half-O-Ween!

Hello Lost Coasters!
My name is Leigh Snaith-Brunton aka The Sharpie Domino Queen and today is Day 1 of the spooktacular 15 Days of Half-O-Ween event over on my DominoART blog which I'm thrilled to say is being sponsored by Lost Coast Designs!

Why wait until October to get your freak on when you can indulge in the horror half way through the year too! I will be featuring a new scary project by DominoART's Petrifying Players every 2nd day for 15 days throughout May so sit back and enjoy the freak show! There's still some days available if you'd like your scary altered game art featured during this event too! So hurry out your email to me NOW and sign up!

Three Winners will receive Gift Certificates to spend at Lost Coast Designs!
1st Place Winner will receive a $15 gift certificate
2nd Place Winner will receive a $10 gift certificate
3rd Place Winner will receive a $5 gift certificate

I'm kicking off Half-O-Ween with my Skellie Jigsaw card!
I used two Lost Coast Designs stamps: Skeleton and Roses and Long Swirl Flourish and an altered jigsaw puzzle piece!

Stamp the Skeleton and Roses image with Onyx Black Memento Ink onto Neenah Solar White cardstock or similar cardstock suitable for use with Copic markers. Stamp the Long Swirl Flourish multiple times with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to create a decorative background. Colour the roses with Copics R39 and R46, the greenery with G28, the Skeleton with E41 and the frame with Fired Brick Distress Marker. Die cut out the panel with Cuttlebug's Jigsaw Puzzle die then edge each piece with Tea Dye Distress Ink. Adhere the jigsaw pieces to a black cardstock mat and distress the edges of the mat with Tim's Paper Distresser tool. Then adhere that to a deep red cardstock mat. Distress the edges and apply Black Soot Distress Ink to the edges.

Now for the puzzle piece! I stamped the Skellie head portion onto the back of a real cardboard puzzle piece that was already white with Onyx Black Memento ink. But if you want to use the front of a piece or if the back is cardboard grey then prep the surface with a coat of Claudine Hellmuth Studio Gesso. Colour the background of the image with Tea Dye Distress Marker and the roses with the same Copics as the other roses. Then add some Pumice Stone Distress Marker to the shadows on the skeleton too. Adhere the puzzle piece to the card with Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive and finish off with Opal Stickles glitter glue applied to all the roses on the puzzle piece and just the centers of the others.

Don't forget to stop by DominoART again on May 3rd for the next featured project!

There's 2 other events currently happening too so come and join the fun!

Domino Hugs!
