Beauties on Tags

Hi all! It's Nan with two tags today.  Now why are there two and not three tags as I intended?  Well, much to my shame I had all three tags stuck into a book so that they would dry flat and the book ate one of the tags!  Yes, ate it!  I went through that book 8 times no sign of it...gremlins again?  But I did get my two beauties on tags even with the drama!

The first thing I did was stamp the DT with the stamp Birds in Tree in purple Distress Ink then I  stamped two of the Gibson Girl's Faces from the set in different Distress Inks on kraft paper I bought in Japan which is very thin almost like tissue paper. I inked the tags after gluing some DP torn and inked edges onto the tags.  I used honeycomb stamp from the Lattice ATC Stamp set in purple on different spots and the Cherry Tree stamp from the ATC Misc. 2 Set.

So I hope you enjoyed my Gibson Girl tags today and also hope that you will check out the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for all challenges, events, and Designer Reviews!

Day of the Dead Celebration Festive Skull with Hat

Hello Everyone,
Today's project is a "Festive" Skull wearing a Fabulous hat, darling.  This project was made for the Day of the Dead Celebration on The Portal to Creativity blog.
I used two stamps colored  with Copic Markers to make this card:
Skull with Hat - Carmen's Veranda
Birds in Trees Background - Lost Cost Designs

For more pics and instructions, head over to Dreaming and Creating for the full post.  I am still in the process of unpacking in my new home.  Lots of work to do yet to set up a work area!!   Hope you have a great day!

Center Step Card Tutorial

Have you ever made a step card? It is fun, easy and uses no more suplies then a normal fold in half card and gives you great dimension:

I used the new Birds in Trees and Murder of Crows stamps from Lost Coast Designs. I really wanted to make the background stamp stand out and use all 4 crows from the stamp set so I thought a center step card would allow that and add interesting dimension…almost a shadow-box look, to this card. What’s more it’s easy and uses no more cardstock then a normal card. Want to see how it is done? Watch the video:

And that is all there is to it! Til next time happy crafting!
