Flower Sisters Valentine's Day Card

Hi Coasties!
Let's share a little love today!  I made a pretty Valentine using the Lost Coast Design stamp Flower Sisters. I stamped the image on glossy white CS and colored with Copics.   Isn't this a sweet image!??   This stamp would be great on a Mother's Day card too.  I added lots of romance to my card with lace, ribbons, and die cuts.

VALENTINE ... be mine!

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Did you know …

•     In Europe, february 14 is believed to be the day that birds choose their mates, or that
•     ‘Penny Dreadfuls’ were Victorian valentines costing a penny, filled with verses of humorous insults? Oh my!

Well on to my valentine cards featuring “angel in disguise” and “devil in disguise” stamps by LOST COAST DESIGNS. They have a touch of humor and are dreadfully sweet!  For enlarged detail viewing of the designs, click on the image.  Supplies and instructions are shown below.

These three valentines were pretty easy to create, and include design layers, stamping, coloring and punching.  Supplies:  LOST COAST DESIGN stamps include Angel in Disguise, Devil in Disguise, heart & swirls border and old typewriter alphabet.  I love using alphabets because you can spell out whatever you like.  Double-sided card stock cut to fit a 6 inch square envelope … 11 by 5-1/2 inch folded to a square card.  Momento inks – rich cocoa, potter’s clay and lady bug; I find best results with stamping detailed images such as these onto smooth uncoated quality card stock.  I used a little square of Inkssentials Cut-n-Dry stamp pad felt to apply color softly to edges of cut-out stamps.  Two EK Success punches for hearts and corner heart punch.  Ribbon and Prima flowers.  And lastly, I used an assortment of colored and chalk pencils, and gel pens to color the stamps.  The center dot on the paper flowers is just a dab of gel pen.  I used the teardrop ink pad smudged directly at a 45 degree angle along the heart punch and other edges to make them pop.  I inked the letters laying flat on the table and dabbed the heart punch outs upside down onto the ink for lettered hearts.  MY ONLY TRICK is that when I’m cutting out stamp IMAGES, I cut approximately 1/16th to 1/8th inch outside the lines using a bit of a wiggle for my scissors or paper.  Note also, each card has three layers … card stock, stamp and embellishments.  ###

Beautiful Cityscape!

I love how different designers can use the same stamp for totally different looks. I had a chance to play with the Cityscape stamp from Lost Coast Designs this week and came up with this:

Another Lost Coaster, Karen McAlpine used this stamp this week too and got a totally different look, you can see her tags here. One stamp, two totally different looks. Some people think that you are limited by a stamp but that is not the case at all. Have a look at this video if you want to see how I made my multi color stamped card:

Cityscape Fantasy Tags

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone had a great Holiday season.  I had a nice break in the sun down in Florida and I am back refreshed and ready for a new year full of creativity and fun.  I am starting out the new year with two fun tags that ventured into fantasy--a bit.  

I used two of the newest stamps from Lost Coast Design.  I stamped the background with "Cityscape" and added a touch of whimsy with "Flying Car" and "Silhouette Lady with Umbrella".

Victorian Ladies Card

Hello My dear Stamper Friends:

Here Bibiana ,
Today, I would like to share with you this "Victorian"/Vintage looking Card that I made using the set called "Harpers Women" and this rubber set comes with 4 different ladies.

I decided to use 2 of the ladies and in order to make them look like there is one stamp, one lady behind the other I used the "masking" technique!

For this card, I used several "Spellbinders" labels which match very well the theme of Victorian/Vintage looking,  added some ribbon, flower and pearls

I hope you can try to use more than one stamp image in your project and use this fun technique of "Masking" that creates dimension into your projects...

INTERTWINED ... my Edgar Allen Poe challenge for Somerset

Hello, my name is Cherri Robb and I'm the "newbie" on the Design Team. 

Two years ago I was so excited to have gotten around to submitting an art project for Somerset Studio challenge.  I used Lost-Coast-Design stamps exclusively.  And  YEAH, I was selected for publication ... Feast of Our lady Of Guadalupe

Hello Dear Lost Coaster's Friends:

Here Bibiana...
Today December 12th is celebrated throughout  the catholic world and specially in Mexico, the day of Our Lady of Guadalupe "Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe"...title given to the Virgin Mary.
And I decided to make this card in her honor using this stamp from  Lost Coast Designs  

The stamp is the reproduction of the original image of the virgin that is housed in the mayor Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, city and she is the patroness of Latin America!
The snowflakes were heat emboss using silver glitter over silver mirror paper and the gold rays were as well embossed with gold embossing powder. The main image and the roses were hand cut..

Happy "Day of the Dead" or "Día de los Muertos"

Hello Lost Coaster's:

Here Bibiana...with a quick post, commemorating today this Mexican holiday: "Día de los Muertos" or "Day of the Dead" with these Mexican skull stamps by "Lost Coast Designs".

These stamps are reproductions of the famous drawings done by the Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada depicting death and specially having created "la Catrina",

this elegant woman skull which was named later on "Catrina" by Diego Rivera  are the perfect stamps to showcase in  this "Triple Twisted Easel" card.
