Well - it is about 5 more months until Halloween when the ghouls and goblins will be coming out.....and still a couple of more days to participate in the Half-O-Ween event over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity!!!!!! Last day is May 31st.
Today I would like to share the first card I made for Lost Coast, being as I am a newbie on the Design Team.
Using the Owl from the Anthropomorphs set and using some inks for the background swish - I kept the colours traditional......
Stamped onto some ribbon the Happy Halloween - almost made it look kinda ghostly.....
Here is a closer look......
Of course the Owl had to dress up for the Half-O-Ween Party !!!! Has his party hat on and ready to rock and roll!!!!
PS
Don't forget there is still time for our first blogiversary give away ! On til June 16th !!!!
Come join all the fun over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity!

Simply Impossible
Good morning! I'm soooo happy to be with you today. Welcome to my first post as a LCD designer! I wanted to jump right in, so I created a couple of items for your viewing pleasure. They are really quite simple since I only had a view images to work with, but I do love the way they turned out.
To create this card, I started by stamping Grunge Tree with sepia ink onto a piece of plain card and then trimmed it up. Since I was going for simplicity in order for the tree to stand out, I pulled out my trusted quote book and found one that really resonated with me. I printed it out, trimmed it up, and glued it down to my card. It was too plain so I outlined it with a brown marker. Finally, I adhered my image to a prefolded card.
It's so great to be here designing for LCD. Stay tuned for more wonderful stamping projects!
Until later..............

I started with a standard cardstock ATC blank then stamped it with Spray Webbing using sepia ink. I then fussy cut a couple of images from an Alice collage sheet and added them to the card (they got moved around quite a bit until I was happy). I outlined the words in black and white pen then added three pink flower embellishments.

Ghostie BOO Birds & Nuance Backgrounds
Happy Half-O-Ween Lost Coaster's!
Leigh here to share some Half-O-Ween inspiration featuring Whimsical Birds by Doris Arndt and Nuance Powders by Magenta now available at Lost Coast Designs!
We are currently celebrating Halloween in May every 2nd day until May 31st over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.
Stop by to see lots of spooktacular projects and then dig out your Halloween stamps and join the linky party for the chance to win a fab $15 shopping spree at Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda!
For Day 1 of Half-O-Ween I made these 2 ATCs featuring both the large and mini versions of Whimsical Flora. These are our latest addition to the Lost Coast Designs line of quality rubber stamps consisting of 8 large birdies and 2 sets of minis.
Both ATCs started out the same way with a scrumptious background created with the fabulous Nuance Powders by Magenta. We currently stock all 15 colours but it's just been announced that 5 new colours are heading our way...SQUEEEE!
I had so much fun just letting the powders do their magic. I tapped micro specks of grey, violet, hot pink, orange and golden yellow onto the ATCs and then spritzed with water. While wet I smooshed an ATC blank on top of another to transfer the colour and also played around with the colour soaked up by the paper towel to make even more backgrounds. I then dried them all with my heat gun and ironed them flat.
I stamped Lost Coast Design's large Spiderwebs background onto both ATCs in Tea Dye Distress Ink.
On the first ATC I created the pale moon using a circle punch
as a mask and Cloud White VersaMagic ink dabbed on with a piece of paper towel and I also stamped the Cracked Grass and Sky with Brilliance Platinum Planet to add the little stars and dots to the background of both ATCs.
I continued building my scenes by stamping the large and
mini Cracked Tree
in Onyx Black VersaFine ink and added shimmer and shine to the branches
with "Perfect Pearl" Perfect Pearls powder mixed with water and applied with a
paint brush. The light catches the shimmer only at certain angles for magical effect.
Now for my Ghostie Birds...both Whimsical Floras were stamped twice on Neenah cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento
ink and coloured with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I fussy cut out the entire bird from the 1st set and just the heads from the 2nd. The heads were adhered with pop
dots and I also applied Judikins Diamond Glaze to their eyes for extra dimension
and shine. The "BOO" text was stamped with Old Type Writer Alphabet set in both lower and upper case, one was left plain and the other I coloured with purple Prismacolor pencil. I drew the frames with a black Micron pen and added black Prismacolor pencil and adhered the "BOOs" to the ATCs with Scotch Quick Dry adhesive.
That's it from me today, I hope you enjoyed seeing how I made these two Ghostie BOO Bird ATCs and don't forget to stop by Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for more Half-O-Ween fun!
Before you go...did you know we are also celebrating our first Blogiversary at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and we're giving away BLOG CANDY?! Click HERE to see how you can get in on the action and celebrate with us ;0)
Happy Stamping!

Sweet Friends
Happy Friday!! It's me Shari with a bittersweet posting today, as this will be my last blog posting as a member of the LCDesigners. I've more than enjoyed my tenure on the Lost Coast Designs/Carmen's Veranda DT and will miss coming to you with monthly shares and special event creations.
For my farewell project, I created two simple cards using images from our Nostalgic Children category-Annie and Georges & Louis, along with words found in our Misc. Words stamp and pieces of our Cat Quotes and 2" Grunge Border.
Both of these cards were really easy to make and I love the clean, yet grungy look of them. Let me show you a little bit of what I did to create these simple cards with big "Ooomph"--
I smooshed Distress Ink Minis directly onto an acrylic block, spritzed with water, then pressed onto mixed-media paper. These are colors from the #1, #2 & #3 DI mini sets--Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed and Vintage Photo.
I just LOVE this earthy monoprint of color and those deeper spots of saturated color--Perfect! Just what I was hoping for--this is going to be a great background!
I made another Distress Ink water color background, this time using a round acrylic stamp base and all of the inks in DI Mini set #4--
The softer color palette for this background is so pretty and I'm sorry that the photo does not do it justice-I hate that! The way that these lighter colors of lilac, yellow and pink melded together-with that darker splotch of green--Love It!!
I ran the panel through my sewing machine to add the stitched border, then I splattered the card with Shaded Lilac DI using a round water color brush and heat set. I used our Cat Quotes stamp, un-mounted, with Jet Black Archival to stamp the random pieces of script onto the background then I spritzed Black Soot DI onto the areas of the script with my air art tool.
I stamped our Annie image onto mixed-media paper with Jet Black Archival and fussy cut. I adhered her onto the panel with matte Decou-Page then outlined with Black Soot DI and my water brush. She just didn't pop enough for me, so I gave her an additional outlining with white gel pen.
I masked off our Misc Words stamp and inked up the word 'Sweet' with Jet Black Archival and stamped onto mixed-media paper. I fussy cut into a word band, mounted onto black card stock and attached to the panel with matte Decou-Page. A couple of enamel dots finish this panel off.
I made this card in the same manner, except I'm using our darling Georges & Louis image along with our 2" Grunge Border and I stamped everything using Potting Soil Archival.
Before I adhered G&L into place, I splattered Mowed Lawn DI over the surface of the panel with a round water color brush and heat set. I used our 2" Grunge Border, un-mounted, and stamped random pieces of it onto the panel, then spritzed Ground Espresso DM onto the surface with my air art tool.
Our Misc. Words stamp is a true must-have for the, what seems like, endless word band possibilities! I adhered G&L and the word band onto the panel with matte Decou-Page and finished with a couple of enamel dots.
Thanks so much for coming by today for my last Lost Coaster's Review Blog posting. I've appreciated and relished the chance of being able to create, and hopefully inspire you, with Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda images.
I'd like to take this time to give our Fearless LCD/CV DT Leader, Leigh, a Great Big Thank You for having me on The Team and a Huge Thank you to Linda, LCD/CV Company Owner, for allowing me the opportunity to represent your brand!
Thanks for the memories!!

What does your eyes see?
I find this Flagstone Background stamp fascinating...
I can see lots of images "hiding" in there, just
waiting to get some color on and be revealed.
Like this big red heart:
I used Inktense pencilt to color and
black powder to emboss the word from the Misc. Words -set.
Wouldn't this be fun to color with kids and see what they see in it?
Hugs, Granne
P.S. Still time to play with our May challenge: "A splash of bright / neon color" and check out our new FB fan page here AND welcome to our 1st Blogiversary party here AND coming soon is a Half-O-Ween event. So stay tuned, lots of fun around Lost Coast Portal to Creativity :D.

Diamonds ATC
Nikki here and I would like to share an ATC with you today, featuring the gorgeous gal Manga Goth Dots from Lost Coast Designs.
Our challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity this month is to add a splash of neon or bright color. I think the pink is pretty bright here, it makes the flowers in her hair appear even bigger !
This gorgeous gal is colored with copics and gelli roll pen for her dress. I wanted to give it a PVC, leather sort of look. She is pretty sassy wouldn't you agree? Hence the words from the song 'Single Ladies' by Beyonce :
"If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it"
See the bling on her finger ? Looks like someone 'liked it' ! LOL
For the background I have used two background stamps. Firstly I stamped Grunge Black Swirl from Carmen's Veranda in a taupe color. Then I stamped the Fourth Dimension stamp from Lost Coast Designs in peacock feathers distress ink and embossed with iridescent ice embossing powder. I don't normally use much bling, but really thought this ATC was calling out for it.
Finally I added a few more gems to the background, the words which I typed on my typewriter and I edged the ATC in black ink.
Thanks for stopping by and please go and check out our challenge.
Have a lovely day, Nikki x

I have a wise Cracked Owl from the Mini Cracked Critters Set One from Lost Coast Designs and he is the star of my card :) Forgive the pun!
An
A2 kraft card with star cut out and red paper behind with the owl
stamped. I stamped the owl again on white paper and colored with
watercolor pencils before gluing on the stamped red paper. A flower
embellie to serve as a closure for the twine to wrap around and he is
ready to give out his words of wisdom.
