Snappy Pumpkin with Doodles Background

Hello Everyone!
This is my ( Karen) post #1 for the 31 Days of Halloween Event.  Lost Coast's Portal is participating in this event as a "Wicked Blogger". Check out the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for all the details. The complete blog roll is listed there.
The Lost Coast Design Team is also Celebrating a New Release!  Check out all the new stamps here.  The LCD October Challenge's Theme is Scary or Weird. Be sure to link up all your Halloween/scary projects there for a chance at the prize.

Check out my project for the 31 Days of Halloween!!  I used one of the New Release stamps to create a fun background for this Halloween card.  I added a snappy Pumpkin Scarecrow and some embellishments to create this folk artsy card perfect for sending to a friend.

Stamps Used: Scarecrow Pumpkin - Carmen's Veranda, and ATC Doodles Set - Lost Coast Designs

Isn't this little guy cute!!   A great stamp to use for kids' Halloween cards too.
Check out the full post on my blog, Dreaming and Creating.  Stayed tune all month for more Halloween/Scary inspirations from the Design Team!!  See you again soon!

Center Step Card Tutorial

Have you ever made a step card? It is fun, easy and uses no more suplies then a normal fold in half card and gives you great dimension:

I used the new Birds in Trees and Murder of Crows stamps from Lost Coast Designs. I really wanted to make the background stamp stand out and use all 4 crows from the stamp set so I thought a center step card would allow that and add interesting dimension…almost a shadow-box look, to this card. What’s more it’s easy and uses no more cardstock then a normal card. Want to see how it is done? Watch the video:

And that is all there is to it! Til next time happy crafting!
