A little Magic ..

With New Year approaching, this elf wanted to spread a little magic and joy.

This is an image from Carmen's Veranda called Elf with Star. :
I made this page in my art journal and also used a background image from Lost Coast Designs, called Tall Trees. The background is painted with acrylics.
The magic emanating from his wand is made with liquid pearls.
Hope you receive a little of his magic and have a wonderous and healthy 2014.

Little 'LOVE' canvas

Hi, Corrie here !
I did something totally different for today's post. I made a little canvas. I used the 'Magic Dictionary' stamp and the "License plate Alphabet' set.
Apart from that I used tissue paper as the base, acrylic paints and gesso, stencils and model paste, inks and some glass bead gel for the small hearts. Some cardboard for the big heart, twine and some sand texture paste around the edges of the canvas.

Hope this gave you some inspiration !

Thanks for stopping by !

Christmas Card Ideas

Hello Everyone!
I have been working with the stamp, Mary and Angels, and have made some shimmery Christmas cards.  I added glitter and stamped on velum for some interesting results.  I also used the Merry Christmas Sentiment from the Party Words set.

On the first card, I stamped on velum with black ink.  I made sure the ink was dry before working with the piece.  The velum was turned over and colored on the backside with a red Vellum Writer (Zig).  The piece was layered over white CS.  I stamped the image again on white CS; cut out Mary and added her to the piece with dimensional adhesive.

On the second card, I stamped the image with Sahara Sand Versa Magic  ink.  When the ink was dry, I painted the image with Lumiere Paint.  While the paint was still wet, I sprinkled on Diamond Glitter.  And, I stamped another Mary and made her dimensional.

Cards three and four were made in the same way, except that black ink was used for the stamping.  If the paint drys too quickly, a glue pad can be used to adhere the glitter.  That is what I did with this card as the paint dried too quickly.

A lovely sent of Christmas cards with lots of sparkle!  Hope you enjoyed!! Happy Holidays!!

Intrigue atc

I am once again feeding my atc addiction ...

An atc I created to the theme of 'intrigue' using the crocodile from the Mis. Anthropomorphs set.
Not often you see such a finely dressed fellow is it :
He is colored with inktense pencils. The background is zentangled, the wording added by hand. A thick layer of UTEE is added to make the atc very shiny and hard.

A birthday card

hello Lost Coasters Friends:

HERE BIBIANA....

I made this card using one of the mini flying ladies stamp  from "Lost Coast Designs".
This is the clown stamp and this particular  set comes with 6 mini ladies and they all are so pretty and whimsical
I decided to use the clown one for a birthday card...but the other "ladies" are so pretty too!

I used the "Paper Piecing" technique
which consists in  stamping first the image on a piece of paper with black ink.
then stamp a second time on a piece of pattern paper, and a third if you want on a different colored paper, cut the pieces that you like to piece,
in my case I stamp on purple paper the hat, cut it,
stamp the base in green, cut it  and place both pieces on top of the main stamped image...

the result is a raised image with lots of interest and dimension!
I added some "Stickles", a ribbon and Voilà! and cute birthday card!
