I shared 4 projects during the hop, 3 at LeighSBDesigns and 1 at DominoART and I will be blogging about each project in more detail here at Lost Coaster's Review and I'm starting with

 CATS ARE ENIGMAS

I used Lost Coast Designs Devil in Disguise kitty and StencilGirl's 6 x 6 Jigsaw Puzzle stencil.
I stamped the kitty onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and subtly coloured with Copic markers in warm greys and red detailing.  I fussy cut kitty out and applied Fired Brick Distress Ink to the edges before applying a coat of Judikins Diamond Glaze to the horns, wings and pitch fork and put aside to dry while I created the jigsaw background.  This is such a fun and easy effect to create simply by mixing Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls powder into white craft glue to make a paste.  I taped the stencil down over my cut to size 6 x 6 inch red cardstock and gently applied the paste with a junk mail credit card.  Once completely covered I peeled away the stencil and immediately washed it with soap and warm water.  The background dried completely in a few hours but you'll have to test your dry time based on your weather conditions.  You'll notice that my background mat also has a gold edge, that's because I spread the paste right up to the stencil edge and my mat was the same size as the stencil.  The red border between the puzzle design and edge of the mat is part of the stencil.

While that was drying I worked on my sentiment which is one of my own digi designs.  I printed it out, die cut with a Spellbinders Deckle die, edged it with Fired Brick Distress Ink and matted it onto black cardstock using my Perfect Layers Mini tool to cut the 1/16" border.  I punched a 1/16" hole into the bottom edge and attached the cat paw dangle charm I made with seed beads and brass wire.  The red mat was adhered to black cardstock with Scotch Quick Dry adhesive and I used my Perfect Layers mini tool to cut the 1/8" border.  The kitty and the sentiment were added to the background with pop dots.  Stop by LeighSBDesigns March 31 for a Perfect Paper Crafting Blog Hop + prizes for the scoop on the new Perfect Layers Minis!  In the meanwhile click HERE for tutorials and use my special code Leigh5% to get 5% off your entire order
