Hello Lost Coasters!
Before I share my projects for today I want to let you know about our Valentine's Day countdown happening at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity this week. Write a review on your blogs and tell us how much you love our stamps and activities and win a $10 shopping spree at LCD/CV so come join the fun!
The projects I'm sharing today were made for our January New Stamps Showcase event featuring Lost Coast Designs new stamps! If you missed the fun then pop on over and start on Day 1 and also check out our NEW IMAGES at Lost Coast Designs, they are so awesome you're going to want them all!
First up, my trio of single stemmed floral cards.
I used the following of our new LCD stamps:
Open Rose, Tulip, Doodle Flowers and Misc Words as well as the Little Diamonds background.
I made 3 fussy cut floral cards, 2 tall and skinny plus 1 small gift card, using the Distress Inks watercolour technique. The flowers were stamped on watercolour paper with black Versafine ink and watercoloured with Fired Brick, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss and Mustard Seed Distress Inks and a water brush.
I made the tall and skinny folded card bases from white cardstock and stamped those with the Doodle Flowers in Mustard Seed DI. The watercoloured panels were adhered to the cards and I cut away the entire right hand side of the card fronts on all 3 cards.

The floral cut aways are visually dramatic and are suitable for any occasion with the addition of single "word" sentiments!
The photo above shows them closed with the stamped diamond pattern
now visible in the cut outs making the front and interiors all part of the
overall design. I used Sage VersaMagic ink to stamp the interiors, first stamped onto scrap paper to remove some ink before stamping into the cards for a more
distressed effect.
Up next are the two tags I made for Day 1 of the New Stamps Showcase featuring
Megan's Christmas Bird, Megan's Owl,Grunge Border 2", Grunge Border 3", Goodbye, Happy and New Year from the Misc Words set plus the numbers from the License Plate Alphabet set
"Goodbye 2015"

Ok - I admit it... I am AWE STRUCK Leigh. I'm not sure I have ever seen a set of cards that are more INCREDIBLY STUNNING than your roses. Can you imagine getting that STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL Sympathy Rose Card in the mail when you were sad??? Wow - it would be such a healing balm and would be something you would want to keep forever. They are three just ELEGANTLY LOVELY... I adore them.
ReplyDeleteAnd your birdie and owl creations just make me so happy inside. I love the color scheme on them both. For reason those particular stamps just really make me smile when I see them.
What a treat to see these today. I'm going back now to stare at the roses some more! j.
